Fourth of July Fireworks

I love fireworks, and I love taking pictures of fireworks. I actually went to two shows this past weekend (luckily some local communities celebrate a day early), but these particular photos were taken at Niawanda Park last night.

Chestnut Ridge

I've posted plenty of pictures taken at Chestnut Ridge Park over the past few years, and here are a few more.  The challenge when you keep going back to the same places is to try and see and capture something new, and I think I accomplished that here by kind of focusing on images that play up the abstract elements in that setting-- that is, emphasizing the interplay of light and shadows and shapes and colors over any attempt to depict a straight landscape.  That as the goal anyway...
