These were recently found on my small camera (I tend not to download those as regularly as I do from my DSLR), taken one evening last March when I was down in southern California. Just hanging out with a couple thousand other folks as the Pacific churned all around us.

My Favorite Movie Scene, Today

Hard to believe this is necessary in 2016, but count me among those who believe we need to call a Nazi a Nazi. This scene is from the Michael Powell/Emerick Pressburger classic "The 49th Parallel" from 1941 (pre-Pearl Harbor), and it couldn't be more relevant today.

The Norton Simon Museum

I enjoy taking photos in art museums, trying to come up with an interesting "arty" take on other folks looking at art, or of the omnipresent but purposely nondescript security personnel.  I don't know if it always work, but I have fun with it.  These were taken at the Norton Simon Museum in Pasadena last Spring.

I kind of thought I posted these some time back, but they are in my "unposted" folder so here they are again (maybe).  Not sure who the guitar player is-- his band (a local group, I imagine) was opening for Spoon at Canalside a couple summers back and I arrived after they started.  But I enjoyed the performance.
