I was in Santa Monica last week and spent a couple hours down at the beach with my camera (not the Sony mentioned yesterday). Unfortunately, either because I got there a little late or because the conditions weren't optimal, there were very few surfers out and they mostly appeared to be beginners; so I don't have anywhere near as many shots of them as taken on past visits. But here are some of the photos I did take (and by the way, the two guys paddling out in the picture immediately below eventually disappeared over the horizon line and I did not see them again).
