Pictures of Prague

These go back to my 2010 trip to the Czech Republic. They are reclamation projects-- as I've become a bit more proficient with Photoshop, I've been able to fix some images that back then seemed unusable.  There are still some rough elements among these, but I think that they convey something about the atmosphere of the city, or reflect some interesting composition or lighting effects.

This Week's Very Special Playlist and Podcast

We had a lot of fun this past Sunday celebrating the 500th episode of Dr. John's Record Shelf.  Art Vandalay and Rico Muckman were on hand for the festivities, and we had copious clips from past shows featuring the likes of Bart Vandalay and Stuart Tulip as well as classic examples of the Top Five List and Record Shelf Theater.  As you can see from the list below, there was an all-star lineup of great tunes as well.  If you missed the live broadcast, you can listen to a recording by clicking here.  If you're so inclined, I'd love to read your reactions via the comments section.

Surf's Up!

While I was disappointed to find no one surfing at Hermosa Beach on my recent trip to sunny southern California, the next morning I had better luck in Santa Monica.  Here are some of the shots I made there.
