This Happened...

Last week my colleagues Bill Janus, Michael Francisconi, and I were challenged by fellow professor Sean Eudaily to take the Ice Bucket Challenge to benefit ALS research.  Our student senate set up the group dousing earlier today, and here's the video they posted to YouTube.  Note that the folks we name are challenged to follow-up with their own baptism for the cause. So Natalie, I look forward to seeing your video...  If this inspires you to donate some money for ALS research, you can do so here.

Huntington Gardens

One of my favorite places to visit is The Huntington Library in southern California.  In addition to the titular library, there are several really nice art galleries and a spectacular set of gardens on the grounds.  Most of these pictures were taken in the Japanese garden when I was there last May.
