Santa Monica Pier
As a followup to yesterday's shots of surfers, here are some pictures taken later that morning while taking a stroll along the Santa Monica Pier.

Santa Monica Morning
As I typically do when I travel to southern California, I took a lot of photos of the surfers at Santa Monica Beach. Arriving around 7:30 a.m., there are usually a number of folks out on the waves, but hardly anyone else on the beach. I can spend a couple of hours just watching for what I hope will turn into a great shot. I don;t know if any of these qualify, but I sure had a good time while taking them.

Griffith Observatory
These don't actually have much to do with the Observatory itself, but rather some of what you might see around the site or from its various perches overlooking the Los Angeles Basin.

The Fire Eaters
These were taken five years ago at Pennsic, the big SCA gathering in Western Pennsylvania. While out strolling the grounds one evening, Theresa, Dan and I came upon some performers playing with fire. I recently spent some time reworking these into the sepia toned images seen here
