The Final Playlist & Podcast, Part 2

"Art Vandalay" in the KDWG Studios, March 28, 2021

Here’s the playlist for Part 2 of the series finale of Dr. John’s Record Shelf which aired earlier this week on KDWG. Although the Student Senate at UMWestern decided to cut off the station’s funding (resulting in the demise of my program, among other things), our sister station at the University of Montana in Missoula decided to step in and take over the license, which means that the call letters and frequency will continue to be used. This is no reprieve for the Record Shelf however, as the broadcasts will now emanate from Missoula and consist of Montana Public Radio programming. Still, that’s a better fate for the channel than we anticipated even a week ago—a good thing for the community even if the campus has given up a valuable resource. Anyway, click here to listen to Part 2 of our final show, featuring the music listed below along with archival clips and other bits of business. Thank you to everyone who ever listened to the show, whether over the airwaves or through these podcasts. I appreciate your support.
