I visited the Ukrainian Art Museum in the East Village of Manhattan a couple weeks ago. One of the exhibits featured objects that reflected the use of nature/flowers in various ways. All of the clothing below is from the western Ukraine, c1900 to 1940-- the period when my dad was growing up there.
Can you just imagine our ancestors wearing some of these on holidays or special occasions - too Cool!
