Above is a closeup of the grill over the entrance to the bullfight ring in Seville, which is a prominent landmark in the city. Below is a longer view as our group prepared to embark on a tour of the place.
Here's a shot of the arena. I suspect its somewhat more exciting when there's an actual bullfight going
on.
The Quadalquivir River is across the street from the Plaza del Toros, and the promenade that runs along side was a spot I found very photogenic (I'll post some shots from the following, sunny day soon).
These last two shots today are from a place we stopped into for pringas-- small toasted barbecued pork sandwiches, which were really good. Below you can see the rest of the menu, with pringas right on top.
When Catherine of Aragon married Henry VIII, she brought blackwork embroidery to England where it became very popular. Those Spaniards really knew how to make beautiful things. The grill over the arena entrance looks like something I might enjoy making with needle and thread.... Love you pictures, John. Mom
