These are the result of a small challenge set for myself at the Chicago Institute of Art. They have a special collection of miniature rooms that are meant to reflect common elements of interior design in different parts of Europe and the US. Each room is installed in a small (roughly one cubic foot) space embedded in the walls of a gallery. I wanted to see if I could take pictures of some that would be hard to differentiate from full size versions; also, it was fun to play with the light used to illuminate the exhibits. Most of these are black and white because I had a hard time getting the white balance right (above is the lone exception). Can you tell these are tiny versions of the real thing?
