I don't surf, but I love making photos of surfers. Unfortunately, my past several trips to southern California corresponded to periods when there was very little action on the waves (mainly because there were no waves). That wasn't the case when I was there earlier this month, and these photos are the result of a very pleasant (albeit chilly) morning spent on the beach at Santa Monica. I should have a bunch more photos to share over the next couple of weeks.
