I happened to be in downtown Buffalo last Christmas Eve when a sudden fierce snow storm blew in from the west (that is, from out over Lake Erie). Here are some photos I made in the area around Lafayette Square.
Snow storm or not, I remember a lot more people on those streets back in the 1950's. I was crossing Main Street at Chippawa when the light changed and I started to run, The wind was so strong it actually blew me down, A kind gentleman in the crowd picked me up and helped me to the curb.
