Archanes is a small, old community in Crete where a number of scenes from the film Zorba the Greek were filmed. There are also a couple of small archaeological digs in the town. Neither of those is really the focus of this set of photos, in which I just tried to capture something of the atmosphere of the town and surrounding area.
